Epping, NH - Steve Dickey, Jr. put in an impressive run
in the E Keys 4 Cars Modifieds at Star Speedway on a
perfect night for racing last Saturday, leading the way
from wire-to-wire to pick up the first open-wheel win of
his career.
Dickey had his hands full with points leader Jacob Dore
hot on his heels most of the way, but he stayed out
front until the checkers waved to end it. Dickey joined
the growing list of Modified winners with his first of
the year.
Dore
had to settle for a runner-up finish, with Jim Boniface
third, Todd Annarummo fourth, Kevin Iannarelli fifth,
Josh Cantara sixth, Mike Douglas, Jr. seventh, Brandee
Tree eighth, Rusty Ball ninth, and Richard Savary
closing out the top ten.
Another action-packed Allen’s Coffee Flavored Brandy
Outlaw Late Model feature event went Jimmy Renfrew’s
way, the third time the veteran has made his way to
victory lane this season. Gary Beauregard came up a bit
short in the second spot, with Joe Squeglia, Jr. filling
out the podium in third.
Fourth spot went to Rob MacRae, with defending champ
Mitch Wendell right on his back bumper in fifth. Jimmy
Ryder recovered from an early spin to finish sixth, with
Shaun Waites, Eric Sands, Steve Wilmot, and Steve
Johnson sixth through tenth.
Keith “Slika” Ennis continued to run strong in Woody’s
Auto Strictly Stock competition, and this time there was
no stopping him on the way to victory lane. Ennis
picked up his first win of the year at the checkers,
with Chris Jacobson, Sammy Peabody, Chris Kingsley, Matt
Kawejsza, Bret Culleton, Chris Augevich, Andy Nichols,
John Cashman, and Bobby Bouchard next in the final
rundown.
Doug
Dawkins held off some tough challenges along the way,
but he made the trip to victory lane when the Roadrunner
feature event reached the checkered flag. Rookie
sensation Jarrod Soucy was second, followed by Seth
Stickney, Billy Osborne, Ken McIlvaine, Shaun Waites,
Jason Plouffe, Dana Sullivan, and Jack Victoria. |
